POLYCHROME END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT

This is the agreement you accepted when you downloaded Polychrome. The
current version is always at https://polychrome3d.com/terms. This copy
ships inside the app so you have it without going online.

Terms of Use
------------

Last updated 17 September 2026.

Polychrome is made and sold by Limestone Web Studio, a sole proprietorship in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Limestone Web Studio, and "you" means the person or business using Polychrome. Write to info@polychrome3d.com with any question about them.

By downloading, installing, buying or using Polychrome you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use it.

What your licence lets you do
-----------------------------

A licence is personal to you and lets you install and run Polychrome on the computers you use. A licence key may be activated on up to three installations. Write to us if you change computers and run out.

Personal covers the things you make for yourself, for your household, and as unpaid gifts. It does not cover selling what you make.

Commercial licences cover selling, and their terms are set out on the page where you buy them. A commercial licence lasts while it is paid for.

You may not share, resell, sublicense, rent or publish the software or your licence key. You may not remove notices from it, and you may not work around the licence check. You may study, modify and reverse engineer the software only as far as the law of your country allows you to despite an agreement like this one.

We keep all rights in the software itself that we do not give you here. Polychrome is patent pending.

Updates, and the versions your licence covers
---------------------------------------------

Your licence covers every version of Polychrome we publish in the twelve months after you buy it. Those versions are yours to keep and to run for as long as you like. Nothing stops working and nothing is taken away when the twelve months are up.

A version we publish after your twelve months is a version your licence does not cover. You can carry on using the last version it did cover, for as long as you want, on the computers your licence allows. If you want the newer one, buy a current licence.

A commercial licence covers the versions we publish while it is paid for.

We do not promise how many updates there will be, what will be in them, or when they will arrive.

Your pictures and what you make
-------------------------------

Your pictures stay yours. We claim no rights in the images you import, the plate files Polychrome produces, or the objects you print.

You are responsible for having the right to use every picture you import. Do not use Polychrome to copy work you have no right to copy. If someone claims that what you imported or printed infringes their rights, that is between you and them, and you agree to cover our reasonable costs if we are drawn into it because of your use.

Polychrome runs on your computer. Your pictures are not sent to us.

Printing is yours to supervise
------------------------------

Polychrome writes a file for your slicer and your printer. It does not run your printer.

A 3D printer is a hot machine with moving parts. Follow your printer maker's instructions, supervise your prints, and use materials your printer supports. You are responsible for what you print and for how you run your machine.

Colour prediction is a model, not a promise. What a plate looks like on screen depends on your filament, your printer, your lighting and your screen. Test before you commit expensive material or a customer's order to it.

What we promise, and what we do not
-----------------------------------

We give you the software as it is. We do not promise that it is free of faults, that it fits a particular purpose, that it will keep working with future printers or slicers, or that a print will match its prediction.

We may change, add or remove features between versions, and we are not obliged to keep making updates.

Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other consumer law that applies to you. Where such a law gives you a right that cannot be signed away, that law wins over anything in this section.

Limit of what we owe
--------------------

If something goes wrong and we are found responsible, what we owe you in total is limited to the amount you paid us for Polychrome in the twelve months before the claim.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss: lost profit, lost time, wasted filament, a damaged printer, a missed deadline, or lost data, even if we were told such loss was possible.

Some laws do not allow these limits. Where that is so, the limit is the smallest the law allows, and the rest of this section still stands.

Buying, refunds and tax
-----------------------

Purchases go through Gumroad, which is the merchant of record. Gumroad takes the payment, applies tax, and sends your receipt and licence key. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the purchase itself.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy (https://polychrome3d.com/refunds).

A licence ends if you break these terms in a serious way, or if your purchase is refunded or charged back. When it ends, stop using Polychrome and delete it.

The law that applies
--------------------

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, and you agree to bring any claim there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to bring a claim where you live if the law where you live gives you that right.

You agree not to use Polychrome where Canadian export or sanctions law forbids it.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed, and the version you agreed to when you downloaded is the one that governs that download.

Names that are not ours
-----------------------

Bambu Lab, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and other product names belong to their owners. Polychrome is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any printer or slicer maker. We name them only to say what Polychrome works with.
